2020 Best Solution for Acne, Wrinkles, Redness, and Really Good Skin

2020 Best Solution for Acne, Wrinkles, Redness, and Really Good Skin

LED masks are one of those skincare tools you’ve seen all over TV, scrolled past on Instagram, and been tempted to buy approximately a dozen times in the drugstore. But you probably don’t own one. Maybe you guess they don’t actually work or they’re too good to be true. If LED masks cured acne, then they’d have gone viral, right? And, sure, there’s some truth to all that. LED masks won’t completely fix your cystic zits, whiteheads, wrinkles, or redness. But they can help—and even be a godsend if you have sensitive skin that can’t tolerate traditional creams and treatments.

“Light-therapy masks work by shining different types of LED light rays into your skin to help reduce inflammation and breakouts over time,” says dermatologist Mona Gohara, MD, associate clinical professor at Yale University.

“The blue lights can help kill acne-causing bacteria on the surface of your skin, while the red lights can help boost collagen production and decrease irritation.” Cool?

“Although at-home LED masks can help with minor acne and rosacea, they’re nowhere near as powerful or effective as in-office light treatments—or, better yet, prescription topicals and retinoids,” says Dr. Gohara. Still, they can’t exactly hurt either, so if you’re not super happy with your skin right now, try one of these top-rated, internet-loved LED masks.

The 7-Color LED Photon Therapy Facial Mask is a beautifully designed LED mask designed to treat a variety of skin conditions and discomforts. It can reduce and prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, fight against fat areas, inhibit the development of melanin, improve the elasticity of the skin, and make the appearance healthier and younger.

LED phototherapy is a non-invasive hand and facial treatment that uses narrow-band, non-thermal LED light to trigger the body's natural cellular processes, accelerating skin recovery, and repair. It is recommended for young people with skin, sunburn, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, sensitivity and inflammation, wound healing and scarring, and anyone who wants to restore skin shine.

Induces rapid healing and reduces pain - Enhances internal skin call function and induces faster healing.

Red: The 650nm red light is for wakening and activating the skin. This can increase natural hydration, reduce redness and inflammation, reduce pore appearance, regulate oil secretion, improve blood circulation, and accelerate skin repair. This is a medically approved rosacea treatment.

Blue: The 462nm blue light is for calming and diminishing inflammation. It is a powerful antibacterial property for the treatment of acne without irritating, reducing oil secretion, preventing future outbreaks, and providing UV-free alternatives for the treatment of eczema and psoriasis.

Green: The 527nm green light is for comforting the skin.

Purple: The 600nm purple light is for toxin elimination.

Orange: The 610nm light is for Balancing and recomposing.

Turquoise: The 470nm turquoise light is for relaxation.

Yellow: The 590nm yellow light is for tightening and oxygen supply

How does it work?

LED light therapy uses visible wavelengths of visible light with specific skin benefits. Due to aging, skin disease or trauma, healthy skin cells are damaged and cannot be properly renewed.

The skin uses light as a source of energy to power the repair and recovery of damaged cells, or to kill bacteria in the case of acne treatment. Energy stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, promotes blood circulation and accelerates tissue repair. During treatment, you just lie under the light curtain and the device does all the work.

We use LEDs on every face. We first cleanse the skin, including the lactic acid whitening peel and, if necessary, the extraction. Then we enter the high side of the face and complete the LED for the entire session (20 minutes).

These treatments are usually an add-on to other treatments, but you can do your own LED treatment. Fees vary depending on where you go, but generally cost between $150 and $300.

Treatment recommends

Depending on the type of LED machine in the spa, it can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. Some machines have a small head (about 3 inches wide) that must be kept on the skin for a few minutes and then moved to the next position. These treatments take longer. The other machine has a 7-inch square, and the therapist divides it into three parts on your face, so the treatment is much faster.
